The woman was discovered lying in the emergency lane of the eastbound side in Roane County, near the 341-mile marker, one mile east of exit 340 Rockwood Municipal Airport Road, on October 13th at approximately 8:17 p.m. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries at the UT Medical Center.
The woman is described as African American, standing between 5’3” and 5’5” tall, and estimated to be around 38 years of age. She weighs between 170 to 175 pounds and has a distinguishing mole on the bridge of her nose. No tattoos were reported. Investigators are eager to gather any information that could help them identify her.
