The Tennessee Board of Regents will convene for a special meeting on Tuesday, November 12, to discuss institutional compensation proposals for ten colleges and faculty emeritus designations for five retired faculty members. The Board, responsible for governing Tennessee’s Community Colleges and Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs), will hold this meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams. The meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. CT/9:30 a.m. ET and will be live-streamed and archived on the Tennessee Board of Regents website.
Following the special meeting, the chairs of the Board’s standing committees will convene, with the Audit Committee meeting scheduled afterward. While most of the proceedings will be available to the public online, a portion of the Audit Committee’s session will remain confidential as per state law.
Detailed agendas and related materials for these meetings are available on the [Tennessee Board of Regents website](https://www.tbr.edu/board/november-2024-special-called-board-meeting-committee-chairs-and-audit-committee-meetings). For individuals seeking direct access to the meetings other than the live stream, they may contact Board Secretary Mariah Perry by 3 p.m. CT on Monday, November 11.
The meeting of the committee chairs is primarily informational with no voting or official actions expected. Discussion topics include proposed new policies and revisions that will be considered by the full Board in its regular quarterly meeting on December 10, alongside reports on finance, business operations, and external affairs.
The Audit Committee’s session will include both informational reports and actionable items, such as audit highlights for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2025, updates on System-wide Internal Audits, and reviews of audit charters and staffing.
The Tennessee Board of Regents is the largest public higher education system in the state, comprising 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology, and the online TN eCampus, collectively serving approximately 140,000 students.
