On a recent Saturday, Collier attended a toddler-league basketball game to support the twin daughters of a former player, showcasing her ongoing commitment to her players and their families. Through her career, which spans four schools including her current position at Lenoir City, Collier has built lasting relationships with her players, celebrating their milestones beyond graduation.
Collier’s dedication transcends her impressive record of state championships and numerous wins. Her influence on her players, many of whom have advanced to collegiate basketball, has earned her the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association’s (TSSAA) Distinguished Service Award for November. Collier expressed her gratitude for the honor, acknowledging the special relationships she has forged with fellow coaches and players across the state.
Throughout her career, Collier has been inspired by the coaches who influenced her own life, including during her time as a graduate assistant under the legendary Pat Summitt. Despite initial uncertainty about pursuing a coaching career, Collier embraced the role and it has since become a family affair, with her husband Robby also coaching and her daughter Katie taking on coaching responsibilities as well.
