Tennessee AI Advisory Council Meeting Scheduled for November

Tennessee AI Advisory Council to hold public meeting on November 20, 2024.

The Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration will be convening the Tennessee Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advisory Council for a public meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. The purpose of the meeting is to advance the use of AI technologies in the state, ensuring they are used in an ethical, adaptable, collaborative, and beneficial manner for all residents of Tennessee. The AI Advisory Council is led by Jim Bryson, Commissioner of the Department of Finance and Administration, and Stephanie Dedmon, the State Chief Information Officer.

The meeting is scheduled to take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. CST, at the William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower, located on the 3rd Floor, Nashville Room, 312 Rosa L. Parks Avenue, Nashville, TN 37243.

Individuals from the public who wish to address the AI Advisory Council in person must submit a written request to Roger Waynick at Roger.Waynick@tn.gov by noon CST on November 15, 2024. Each person will be allotted three minutes to present their comments during the meeting.

Tennessee Promotes Career Development Initiatives

Tennessee’s Department of Education is celebrating Career Development Month in November, emphasizing Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Innovative School Models (ISM) to prepare students for high-demand careers. They will also recognize Early Postsecondary Opportunities (EPSO) Week and National Apprenticeship Week.
