Teenagers Arrested After Nashville Robbery

Three teenagers arrested in Nashville for armed robbery and carjacking.

Three teenage robbery suspects were apprehended by Violent Crimes detectives in Nashville on Friday night. The suspects were spotted driving a stolen Chevrolet Camaro on Linbar Drive, which had been taken at gunpoint earlier that day outside a convenience store on Old Hickory Boulevard. Before police intervention, the teens drove to an apartment complex at 5099 Linbar Drive, where they allegedly robbed two men at gunpoint.

Detectives deployed spike strips to stop the vehicle, and the suspects attempted to flee in the Camaro. An MNPD helicopter tracked the vehicle until the suspects abandoned it and fled on foot. All three were captured by police. Marvin Cruz and David Hminghlu, both 17, along with Davi Ortega, 16, are charged in Juvenile Court with aggravated robbery. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
