A 15-year-old named Shamari Bailey has been charged with criminal homicide in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Braden Caldwell in Nashville. The incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the downtown WeGo bus station. According to reports, Bailey and Caldwell were involved in a physical altercation before two shots were fired, hitting Caldwell. The victim was taken to Vanderbilt Pediatrics, where he later died from his injuries.
Officers from the Homicide and TITANS Unit, along with Central Precinct officers and WeGo security staff, collaborated to identify and locate Bailey. He fled the scene towards 5th Avenue North following the shooting but was apprehended without incident at his home in University Court just before 7 p.m. on the same day.
Bailey’s arrest was facilitated by the familiarity of WeGo security staff, who were able to assist in identifying him as a suspect in the shooting. He is currently being held in Juvenile Court.

Fatal Shooting Investigation on Ewing Drive
Nashville authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of 45-year-old Gerald Muse, which occurred outside a shopping complex on Ewing Drive around 3 a.m. Police found Muse dead at the scene with gunshot wounds, alongside a ski mask and a stolen handgun. The motive for the shooting is currently unknown, and police are seeking public assistance for information.
