The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is organizing a Rapid Hiring Event on November 15 and 16 to recruit correctional officers for its Nashville facilities. Attendees have the opportunity to secure a same-day, conditional job offer by completing interviews and pre-employment requirements at the event. Successful candidates can potentially begin their roles by December 2.
The position of correctional officer starts at an annual salary of $44,520, with an automatic increase to $46,752 after 12 months. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available, distributed over 18 months. Benefits include health, life, vision, and dental insurance, college tuition assistance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Newly hired officers will participate in the Basic Correctional Officer Training (BCOT), a six-week, paid program offered through the Tennessee Correction Academy. This training includes both hands-on experience and classroom instruction to prepare officers for their duties.
Interested individuals are encouraged to schedule interviews in advance via this link, though walk-ins are also welcome. A state-issued photo ID is required for participation.
