The Nashville Symphony Association has announced that Randy Travis and John Esposito will be the co-recipients of the 2024 Nashville Symphony Harmony Award. The award will be presented at the 40th annual Symphony Ball, taking place on December 14, 2024, at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville.
The Harmony Award, established in 1986, honors individuals who exemplify the harmonious spirit of Nashville’s music community. This year, it recognizes the significant contributions of country music legend Randy Travis and former Warner Music Nashville CEO John Esposito.
Randy Travis, an influential figure in country music, has a career spanning several decades with numerous accolades, including seven Grammy Awards and multiple other honors. Despite suffering a severe stroke in 2013, Travis continues to contribute to the music community through the Randy Travis Foundation, supporting music education and raising awareness about stroke and aphasia.
John Esposito, a lifelong musician and music executive, led Warner Music Nashville for 15 years, helping propel artists like Blake Shelton and Dan + Shay to success. Esposito has also been involved in various music industry boards and philanthropic efforts and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the T.J. Martell Foundation.
The Nashville Symphony Ball, a key fundraiser for the Symphony, has raised over $12 million since its inception. This event supports the Symphony’s mission to inspire and engage the community with live orchestral music.
