A 16-year-old student from Pearl Cohn High School in Nashville has been arrested after issuing a threat of mass violence via Instagram. The incident came to light when screenshots of the threatening messages were sent to the school’s principal, leading to the identification of the student as the account owner.
The Rapid School Safety Team took the student into custody upon his arrival at school. During questioning, he admitted to making the threat. He now faces charges in Juvenile Court for making a threat of mass violence and for false reporting.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department emphasizes that threats against schools, events, and businesses are taken very seriously, and individuals responsible for such actions will face prosecution.

Nashville Man Charged for Hidden Camera Use
Matthew Vollmer, a 31-year-old from Nashville, faces eight charges of unlawful photography after a woman he was dating discovered hidden camera recordings on his computer. The investigation, led by the Special Victims Division, uncovered that Vollmer used a disguised camera to record four women without their consent. He is currently out on a $40,000 bond as the investigation continues.
