The City of Knoxville’s Office of Neighborhood Empowerment is now accepting nominations for the Diana Conn Good Neighbor of the Year Award. This annual accolade recognizes residents who consistently assist their neighbors with various tasks, whether large projects or everyday chores, without seeking recognition.
Named in honor of the late Diana Conn, the award has been presented since 2013 to individuals who have notably contributed to neighborhood activities. Past awardees have been recognized for their cheerful participation in neighborhood events, creation of inclusive activities for all ages, initiation of community gardens, and thoughtful leadership on local issues.
The upcoming recipient will be celebrated at the Neighborhood Awards Dinner in March 2025. Residents interested in nominating a neighbor can access the nomination form here. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2024.
For more details and to access the nomination forms, visit the City’s website here. Those with questions regarding the nomination process are encouraged to contact Shannett Riley at [email protected] or by calling 865-215-3232.
