Murfreesboro Water Resources to Relocate in December

Murfreesboro Water Resources Department plans a December move to a new location.

The Murfreesboro Water Resources Department (MWRD) has announced plans to relocate from its longstanding location on Northwest Broad Street, where it has operated for almost 50 years, to a new address at 316 Robert Rose Drive. This move is anticipated to take place in December, although an exact date has yet to be confirmed. The new site is situated behind the Home Depot off Old Fort Parkway/Hwy 96.

The relocation will bring together the department’s various divisions, including Administrative, Engineering, Customer Service, Finance, and Stormwater, under a single roof. This consolidation aims to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Additionally, the new location will feature enhanced customer amenities, such as more parking spaces and a convenient second entrance off the newly developed Gateway Blvd.

Until the move is finalized, the department will continue to operate at its current NW Broad Street location, with office hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Customers are encouraged to utilize the department’s online services. They can opt for e-billing to receive an email notification when their bill is ready via Sign up for E-billing. Additionally, customers can sign up for autopay, allowing automatic drafting of bill amounts on the due date, simplifying the payment process through Sign up for autopay.
