Metro Nashville Invites Feedback on Stormwater MS4 Permit Report

Nashville seeks public input on its annual stormwater management report.

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is responsible for managing stormwater runoff through its Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit. This permit, issued by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), allows the discharge of stormwater to the state’s waters. As part of the permit’s conditions, Metro Nashville must implement specific pollution control measures and conduct performance monitoring annually. Each year, an annual report is compiled to summarize the performance of these program requirements.

Metro Nashville is now inviting public review and feedback on the Draft Fiscal Year 2024 Nashville MS4 Annual Report before its submission to TDEC. Residents are encouraged to submit comments, questions, or concerns regarding the MS4 permit provisions detailed in the report. The deadline for feedback is December 6, 2024.

Submissions should be made in writing to the following contacts at Metro Water Services, Stormwater NPDES Section:

– Address: 1607 County Hospital Road, Bldg. A, Nashville, TN 37218

– Attn: Michael Hunt and Josh Hayes

– Email: Michael.Hunt@nashville.gov and Josh.Hayes@nashville.gov
