The Metro Council Office has officially launched its social media accounts as part of its ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and transparency in local government. This initiative is spearheaded by the Metro Council Office, the Metro Council, and Vice Mayor Angie Henderson, aiming to foster community awareness of the Council’s activities.
Margaret Darby, the Director and Special Counsel of the Metro Council Office, emphasized the importance of these platforms as vital communication and outreach tools. “These platforms will serve as key communication and outreach tools, allowing the Metro Council Office to connect with residents quickly and reach the broadest possible audience,” she stated.
The newly launched social media accounts will provide regular updates on Council and committee meetings, share information about the Council’s work, and offer timely updates to the public. Vice Mayor Angie Henderson expressed her support for this initiative, encouraging all Nashville residents to engage with the Metro Council through these new communication channels.
