Homicide detectives in Nashville are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning near the intersection of Hillhurst Drive and Lyndale Drive. The victim, preliminarily identified as a 21-year-old man from Nashville, was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he later died.
The incident was reported after the victim arrived at the hospital in a vehicle with three other men at approximately 1:45 a.m. During an interview, one of the men mentioned they were en route to a party at 3017 Hillhurst when the victim was shot. In response, officers from the East Precinct arrived at the scene and discovered evidence of a crime in the middle of the street.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather information.
