Traffic crash investigators in Nashville are actively seeking the identification of a hit-and-run driver who injured a 74-year-old woman on Thursday night. The incident took place as the woman was attempting to cross Gallatin Pike at its intersection with Welworth Street around 7:45 p.m. Eyewitnesses reported that a red sedan, possibly a Toyota, was involved in the incident. The victim was transported to Skyline Medical Center and is currently in stable condition. Rise in Gun Thefts from Vehicles in Nashville
The Nashville Police Department reports a significant increase in gun thefts from vehicles, with 750 guns stolen in 2024, representing 73% of all gun thefts in Davidson County. In response, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department initiated a special operation resulting in numerous arrests and the recovery of stolen vehicles and firearms.
