Authorities seek help identifying a hit-and-run driver who injured a pedestrian.

Traffic crash investigators in Nashville are actively seeking the identification of a hit-and-run driver who injured a 74-year-old woman on Thursday night. The incident took place as the woman was attempting to cross Gallatin Pike at its intersection with Welworth Street around 7:45 p.m. Eyewitnesses reported that a red sedan, possibly a Toyota, was involved in the incident. The victim was transported to Skyline Medical Center and is currently in stable condition. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run driver or vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers have the option to remain anonymous.

Rise in Gun Thefts from Vehicles in Nashville

The Nashville Police Department reports a significant increase in gun thefts from vehicles, with 750 guns stolen in 2024, representing 73% of all gun thefts in Davidson County. In response, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department initiated a special operation resulting in numerous arrests and the recovery of stolen vehicles and firearms.
