Investigation Ongoing in Potential Drug-Related Murder Case

Authorities are investigating a possible drug-related motive in a recent Nashville murder.

Authorities are currently investigating a potential drug-related motive in the fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday night involving Danny House Jr., aged 33. The incident took place outside the D building of Knollcrest Apartments, located at 3301 Creekwood Drive.

The investigation has revealed that House was approaching an acquaintance’s apartment when the shooting occurred around 11 p.m. Following the shooting, House was taken by ambulance to Skyline Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Homicide Unit, alongside TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings), has been actively working on the case throughout the night and is following up on leads.

Man Found in Cumberland River Identified

The body of 39-year-old Christopher Akridge was found in the Cumberland River near 1st Avenue South and identified through fingerprint analysis. There were no signs of trauma, and foul play is not suspected. The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner, with the investigation conducted by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
