Tennessee has reached a new milestone with over 301,947 active licensed insurance producers, marking a 25% growth since 2020-21. This increase is linked to the state’s population growth and pro-business environment. In 2023, Tennessee’s insurance industry generated significant premium volumes, placing it 17th in the nation. The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance, along with Pearson VUE, has facilitated remote testing to ease the licensing process for prospective insurance professionals.
