Former Nashville Coach Charged with Aggravated Statutory Rape

A former coach from Nashville has been arrested for aggravated statutory rape involving a student.

A former coach from Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville, Tyler Forte, 32, has been arrested and charged with aggravated statutory rape. Forte is accused of having multiple sexual encounters with a 17-year-old student while he was employed at the school, which occurred four years ago. The investigation began at the end of September when the now adult victim reported the incidents to the police. Following the issuance of an arrest warrant, Forte surrendered to authorities and was booked at the Downtown Detention Center. He has since been released on a $10,000 bond.

Nashville Man Charged in Shooting Incident

James Claybrooks, a 22-year-old Nashville resident, has been arrested and charged with attempted homicide in connection with a shooting on October 18th at the intersection of 46th Avenue North and Charlotte Avenue. Claybrooks, who was previously released on bond for an aggravated robbery charge, allegedly drove the vehicle involved in the shooting, resulting in critical injuries to an 18-year-old male passenger. The suspect vehicle was tracked using a License Plate Reader, aiding the investigation. Claybrooks faces multiple charges and is held on an $80,000 bond.
