Additionally, the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System will hold its Annual Veterans Day Parade on November 16, 2024, at the York VA Medical Center Campus, located at 3400 Lebanon Road. Pre-parade festivities will begin at 10 a.m., with the parade starting at 11 a.m.

Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States, celebrated annually on November 11 to honor men and women who have served in the armed forces. It marks the anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I hostilities between Allied nations and Germany in 1918. President Woodrow Wilson established the first Armistice Day in 1919, urging citizens to commemorate the day with solemn pride and gratitude for the victory.
