Christmas in the City 2024 Event Schedule

Knoxville announces its lineup of holiday events for Christmas in the City 2024.

Knoxville is gearing up for its annual ‘Christmas in the City’ celebration in 2024, offering a variety of festive events for families and visitors. These events are designed to provide unique and joyful experiences to celebrate the holiday season in Knoxville. Below is the schedule for the 2024 events.

On Friday, November 22, Christmas at Chilhowee will be presented by Xfinity at Chilhowee Park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The following week, on Friday, November 29, the Regal Celebration of Lights will take place across Gay Street, Krutch Park Extension, Market Street, and Market Square. Attendees can enjoy live music, vendor stalls, and a visit with Santa from 5:15 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Starting the same day, November 29, and running until Tuesday, January 5, 2025, Knoxville will host ‘Holidays on Ice’ at Market Square. On opening day, the skating rink will be accessible from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

On Friday, December 6, the WIVK Christmas Parade will be held along Gay Street, stretching from E. Hill to Magnolia Avenue. The parade is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Saturday, December 14, features the Tour de Lights bike ride and holiday market, presented by Visit Knoxville, at Mary Costa Plaza from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Finally, New Year’s Eve celebrations will occur at the Sunsphere in World’s Fair Park Festival Lawn on Tuesday, December 31, from 9 p.m. until midnight.

Tennessee Whiskey Trail’s Holiday Tasting Event

The Tennessee Whiskey Trail is launching a holiday-themed program called Carols & Barrels, featuring festive decorations, drinks, and entertainment at various distilleries in Middle Tennessee from November 11, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
