Arrest Made in October 27 Murder Case

Two men arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Nashville.

Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division have arrested a second suspect in the October 27 murder of Kianna Cayetano. Kyronyez Dobbins, 25, was apprehended shortly after the incident at the Hickory Lake apartment complex located at 3939 Apache Trail. Dobbins was in possession of a firearm during his arrest. He was previously convicted of facilitating aggravated robbery in 2022 and was serving a four-year probation sentence.

Dobbins’ alleged accomplice, Jon Anthony Hamilton, 27, had been taken into custody earlier this week. Both Dobbins and Hamilton are facing charges of criminal homicide. The investigation revealed that the incident involved a robbery during which Cayetano was fatally shot, and her boyfriend suffered knife wounds.

The case is being investigated by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD), Nashville Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The prosecution is being led by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kathryn D. Risinger and Emily Petro.
