West Precinct patrol officers in Nashville responded quickly to reports of vehicle break-ins at an apartment complex on McCrory Lane, resulting in the arrest of three teens and the recovery of three firearms, two of which had been reported stolen. A witness provided a detailed description of the suspects and their vehicle, a silver Toyota. Officers found the broken-into vehicles and shortly after, spotted the suspect car.
The driver, 19-year-old Abdalla Abdikadir, attempted to flee but was stopped when officers deployed spike strips at the complex’s exit. The car eventually stopped on the side of I-40 East. Abdikadir and a 16-year-old male passenger stayed in the vehicle, while another passenger, 18-year-old Hussein Hassan, fled on foot but was quickly caught. The firearms were retrieved from the Toyota, with one linked to a robbery on September 15 where the victim was approached by armed suspects in black masks, and the other stolen from a vehicle on Thompson Lane the same day.
Hassan faces multiple charges, including eight counts of motor vehicle burglary and two counts of possessing stolen firearms, with a $92,000 bond. Abdikadir is charged with similar offenses and is held on a $47,500 bond. The 16-year-old faces juvenile court charges related to gun possession and vehicle burglary. Photos of Hassan and Abdikadir are being withheld pending further investigations.
