Warrants issued for driver involved in a fatal Nashville hit-and-run incident.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) has issued multiple warrants against Walter Daneris Zuniga, a 39-year-old Honduran national, identified as the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash on Nolensville Pike. The incident resulted in the death of 10-year-old Emily Sanchez-Ramirez and left her mother, Laura Ramirez-Gonzalez, critically injured. The crash occurred while they were riding an electric scooter in the bike lane.

Nine warrants have been issued against Zuniga, including charges of vehicular homicide by reckless conduct, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of a crash involving death, and evidence tampering. The red Nissan Sentra involved in the crash was located at Zuniga’s residence on Radnor Street, following a tip-off to Crime Stoppers.

Sanchez-Ramirez succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, while her mother remains hospitalized in critical condition. The MNPD urges anyone with information regarding Zuniga’s location to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

Fatal Collision at Old Hickory Boulevard Intersection

A fatal two-car accident occurred in South Nashville at the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Barnes Road, leading to the death of Timothy Vetitoe, 47, who was driving a Nissan Altima. The Altima ran a stop sign and was hit by a Dodge Dart, causing it to veer into a field and roll over, while the Dodge driver was unharmed.
