Lane closures expected across West Tennessee from October 16-23, 2024.

Road construction projects are scheduled to take place across West Tennessee from October 16 to October 23, 2024. These projects will involve various lane closures, both during the day and at night, in multiple counties throughout the region. The construction work will include resurfacing, bridge repairs, and intersection improvements.

In Benton County, night-time lane closures will be necessary for the resurfacing of I-40 from S.R. 69 to the Humphreys County line. Intermittent ramp closures are also expected. S.R. 391 will have temporary lane closures due to resurfacing from US 70W to US 70E.

Carroll County will see lane closures due to grading, drainage, and paving on SR-76 (US-79) and intersection improvements on SR-22. Meadowbrook Lane has been closed since September 16, with a detour provided.

Dyer County is undergoing bridge repairs on SR-20 over the North Fork Forked Deer River, which will cause temporary lane closures. Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction with a speed limit of 55 MPH since April 2023. Additionally, SR-211 will have outside lane closures for inspection and evaluation starting August 9, 2024.

In Gibson and Carroll counties, SR-76 (US-79) construction will cause temporary lane closures. Detours are in place due to the permanent closure of Barker Road at the new SR 76 construction.

Henry and Weakley counties will experience lane closures on SR-22 due to resurfacing work, while Obion County will see similar closures on SR-22 from SR-5 to SR-21.

District 48 includes Chester County, where U.S. 45 bridge repairs will begin lane closures for southbound traffic starting October 1, 2024. Crockett and Gibson counties will have temporary lane closures on SR 152 due to resurfacing and bridge repairs. Decatur and Hardin counties will also see lane closures for resurfacing projects.

Madison County will have temporary lane closures on U.S. 412 and rolling roadblocks on I-40 for sign structure installation. Additional work on SR186 and US70 will result in lane closures through October 21.

District 49 covers Fayette County, where SR-222 will be closed for 21 days starting September 23, 2024. Resurfacing work on US-51 and SR-19 in Lauderdale County will lead to temporary lane closures.

In Shelby County, various roadways, including SR-3 and SR-175, will experience nightly lane closures for resurfacing and widening activities. I-40 and I-55 will have temporary closures and restrictions for maintenance and construction work. Detours will be available where necessary.
