Two Teens Charged After Hit-and-Run Involving Stolen Vehicle

Two teenagers face charges following a hit-and-run incident in Nashville.

Two suspects, Deshawn Horn, 18, and a 17-year-old female, are charged with several offenses following a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian on Commerce Street at Representative John Lewis Way. The incident occurred on Monday at 6:30 a.m.

After striking the pedestrian, Horn and the female suspect fled on foot from a 2022 Kia Sportage, which had been stolen the previous night from a parking lot at 1 Titans Way. The adult female pedestrian was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Central Precinct officers utilized the downtown camera system to track the suspects. They were subsequently arrested outside the Walmart at 3458 Dickerson Pike.

Deshawn Horn faces multiple charges, including vehicle theft, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, failure to render aid/give notice, driving without a license/insurance, and drug possession. He is currently held on a $61,000 bond. The 17-year-old female is charged in Juvenile Court with vehicle theft, failure to render aid/give notice, and leaving the scene of an accident.

The investigation is ongoing to determine if the teens are connected to other thefts.
