The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Board of Control conducted a special meeting on Wednesday, October 30, to discuss appeals from various schools concerning the status of forfeited football games. This meeting was held remotely via a video conference call.
During the session, the Board made several decisions regarding school classifications in other sports. Notably, Milan High School’s request to ascend to Class 2A in volleyball was approved, based on their combined enrollment figures. Additionally, Peabody High School’s petition to use their original 2023-24 summary Average Daily Membership (ADM) from the State Department of Education was also approved. This change will result in Peabody’s advancement in the upcoming classification cycle for certain sports.
