Tennessee Highway Patrol seeks public assistance to identify injured woman on I-40.

On October 13, at approximately 8:17 p.m., troopers from the Tennessee Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene of a person lying in the emergency lane of Interstate 40 eastbound in Roane County. The location was marked at the 341-mile marker, about one mile east of the Rockwood Municipal Airport Road exit, also known as exit 340.

Upon arrival, the troopers discovered a Black female with serious injuries. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were immediately notified, and upon their arrival, the injured individual was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities are currently seeking any information that might assist in identifying this person. Red Nissan Recovered After Fatal Crash

Authorities have recovered a red Nissan Sentra linked to a fatal crash on Nolensville Pike that resulted in the death of 10-year-old Emily Sanchez-Ramirez and critically injured her mother, Laura Ramirez-Gonzalez. The car was found at a Radnor Street residence following a Crime Stoppers tip. Investigators seek to question Daneri Varela, a Honduran native, about the incident.
