Clifford Jones Jr. surrenders for fatal assault of James Sutton.

This afternoon, Clifford Jones Jr., a 35-year-old resident of Bell Road, turned himself in to authorities in connection to an outstanding homicide warrant. The warrant was issued following last Monday’s fatal physical assault of James Sutton at the intersection of South 5th and Russell Streets.

Jones was identified as the primary suspect during the investigation, which was substantiated by surveillance footage.
