Street Racer Initiative Leads to Arrests in Nashville

Street Racer Initiative results in six arrests and 20 traffic stops in Nashville.

In a concerted effort to address illegal street racing activities, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD), in collaboration with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, conducted a successful Street Racer Initiative on Saturday night. This operation resulted in six arrests and 20 traffic stops across Davidson County.

Among those apprehended were two adults and two juveniles, who faced a total of 14 charges. These charges included reckless driving, evading arrest, and unlawful possession of weapons. One adult suspect was tracked by air to Hickman County, where he was arrested and subsequently returned to Nashville.

In addition to these arrests, two other adults received misdemeanor citations for reckless driving and driving without a license.

The MNPD Traffic Division remains dedicated to investigating groups involved in illegal street racing, as these activities pose significant dangers and cause damage within the community.
