The Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Rockwood Driver Services Center, located at 1070 North Gateway Ave., is set to reopen to the public on Tuesday, November 5, following a closure for a planned remodel that began on September 11. The center will resume its regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
Visitors to the newly renovated center will find updated facilities, including new furniture, fresh paint, updated flooring, and new credentialing equipment. Additionally, the center now features new self-service kiosks designed to enhance the customer experience.
These self-service kiosks enable users to complete various Driver Services transactions, such as renewing or replacing a duplicate Driver License or ID Card, changing an address, updating emergency contact information, advancing a Teen/Graduated Driver License, paying reinstatement fees, and requesting a license reissue once reinstatement requirements are met. The kiosks are equipped to take photos and process payments using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit or debit card.
For further information on Tennessee Driver Services and the new self-service kiosks, visitors can check the official website at tn.gov/safety/driver-services.html.
