In West Tennessee, several road construction projects are scheduled from October 30 to November 6, 2024, resulting in potential lane closures across various counties. These closures may occur during daytime or nighttime hours as repairs and new installations are carried out.
In District 47, Benton County will see nighttime lane closures on I-40 due to resurfacing from S.R. 69 to the Humphreys County line. Carroll County will also experience lane closures on SR-76 (US-79) and SR-22 for intersection improvements. Dyer County has ongoing bridge repair work on SR-20 and SR-211, affecting traffic with lane restrictions.
District 48 covers Chester, Crockett, Gibson, Decatur, Hardin, Henderson, and Madison Counties, where several resurfacing projects will cause temporary lane closures. Notably, I-40 in Henderson County will have intermittent lane closures for milling and paving operations.
In District 49, Fayette County will experience lane closures on SR-222 and SR-76 due to construction activities, with speed limits temporarily reduced. Lauderdale County’s resurfacing projects on US-51 and SR-19 will maintain at least one open lane in each direction. In Shelby County, various roads, including SR-3, SR-175, and I-40, will have nighttime closures for resurfacing and maintenance work. Notable changes in traffic patterns are also expected on I-55 due to ongoing restrictions.
