A pedestrian was tragically killed in a collision early Sunday morning on Old Murfreesboro Pike near Faircloth Avenue. The incident occurred at 1:40 a.m. and involved a Kia Sorento traveling westbound. Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle struck a 57-year-old man who was found lying on the roadway. It remains uncertain if the Kia Sorento was the first vehicle to make contact with the pedestrian. The individual died at the scene, and authorities are in the process of notifying his family. There was no evidence of impairment detected at the scene for either the pedestrian or the driver of the Kia.

Police Seek Driver in Fatal April Crash

Authorities are searching for Daniel Lorenzo Tyler, 25, from Murfreesboro, who is wanted on charges of vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment following a high-speed crash on April 28 that resulted in the death of his passenger, Keijhan Roby, 22. Tyler was driving a Dodge Charger over 100 mph on I-24 East when he lost control and hit a rock wall, leading to Roby’s death at the scene.
