New Inductees for Music City Walk of Fame

Four new honorees will join the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville.

NASHVILLE – The Music City Walk of Fame will welcome new inductees on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 1 p.m. The honorees include the late Jimmy Buffett, famed for his “tropical troubadour” style; The Fairfield Four, a renowned gospel quartet; Colin Reed, a key figure in hospitality from Ryman Hospitality Properties; and Bill Cody, a cherished announcer for the Grand Ole Opry and host on WSM.

Originally slated to be part of this year’s induction class, country music star Luke Combs will no longer be participating due to a scheduling conflict. Combs expressed regret over his absence, citing a stadium event for hurricane relief scheduled in Charlotte. He extended congratulations to the other inductees and mentioned that he would look forward to a future date for his induction.

The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony, which will honor the contributions of these individuals to Nashville’s musical heritage. Cody and Reed’s recognition coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry next year. Jimmy Buffett, who passed away on September 1, 2023, will be inducted posthumously.

The inductees will receive the 105th through 108th stars on the Walk of Fame, celebrating their impact on music in Nashville and beyond.

This event is organized by the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp and Visit Music City, whose mission is to enhance Nashville’s appeal as a top destination through strategic marketing and development. For more details, visit www.visitmusiccity.com and follow their social media @VisitMusicCity.
