Nashville’s Big Bash New Year’s Eve Celebration

Keith Urban to headline and co-host Nashville's New Year's Eve live event.

Nashville’s New Year’s Eve celebration, Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, will once again take place at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. This year’s event will feature the esteemed country music artist Keith Urban as both a headliner and co-host. Urban, a four-time GRAMMY award winner, will be joined by fellow headliners Kane Brown and Jelly Roll, both celebrated figures in the country music scene. Rachel Smith from ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT will also return as a co-host.

The concert, open to the public free of charge, will be broadcast live as a five-hour CBS special on December 31, airing from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT and again from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. CT. The event will feature live performances from multiple time zones, making it one of the most highly anticipated country music programs of the year. The broadcast will be available on the CBS Television Network and will stream on Paramount+.

The event, now in its 16th year, moved to its current location at Bicentennial Park in 2016. Urban previously headlined the event from 2016 to 2019. A highlight of the celebration will be the traditional dropping of the red Music Note from a 138-foot tower at midnight.

In addition to drawing in large crowds, with attendance figures reaching over 200,000, Nashville’s Big Bash generates approximately $39 million in direct visitor spending. Local residents make up more than half of the attendees.

Deana Ivey, President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp., expressed excitement over Urban’s return, noting his ability to deliver exceptional performances. The event is produced by Music City Inc., the foundation of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, and presented by Jack Daniel’s, with additional support from numerous partners.
