The Murfreesboro Water and Resource Department Community Association (MWRDCA) is hosting its second annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest for 2024. Community members are invited to participate by picking up a free pumpkin from the MWRDCA office, located at 300 NW Broad St., Murfreesboro, TN. The free pumpkins will be available from Monday, October 14, while supplies last, with a limit of one pumpkin per customer.
Participants who have already decorated their pumpkins can submit their entries on Wednesday, October 30, between 8 AM and 10 AM. All pumpkin entries will be displayed and voting will take place on the same day from 10 AM until midnight. The top five entries, as determined by the votes received, will be announced at noon on Halloween, October 31.

Murfreesboro Airport Hosts 2024 STEAM Festival Event
The Murfreesboro Municipal Airport will host a free event on October 19, 2024, as part of the Discovery Center’s 3rd Annual TN STEAM Festival, showcasing the role of science, technology, engineering, art, and math in aviation through various displays and interactive activities. Participants will include the 101st Airborne Division, TN Army National Guard, and others, featuring demonstrations and educational presentations related to aviation and aircraft technology.
