Nashville, TN – On October 8, 2024, it was announced that country music icon Keith Urban will headline and co-host the “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.” The event will be broadcasted live from Downtown Nashville on CBS. Joining Urban on stage at the Bicentennial Mall will be fellow artists Kane Brown and Jelly Roll. Rachel Smith from ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT will return as co-host for this year’s celebration.
The special will air on Tuesday, December 31, spanning two time slots: from 8:00-10:00 PM and 10:30 PM-1:30 AM, Eastern and Pacific Time on the CBS Television Network. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+, live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the following day.
As previously announced, the special will feature high-energy performances from some of country music’s biggest stars, including Kane Brown and Jelly Roll, among others. The five-hour event will be broadcast across multiple time zones and will conclude with the traditional midnight countdown, featuring the renowned Nashville Music Note Drop and fireworks at midnight Central Time.
The event is executive produced by Robert Deaton and Mary Hilliard Harrington in partnership with Music City Inc., the foundation of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. The special will be directed by Sandra Restrepo. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.
