Justice Department Grants Over $5 Million for Reentry Programs

Over $5.1 million in grants awarded to support reentry programs in Eastern Tennessee.

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, Francis M. Hamilton III, has announced the allocation of over $5.1 million in grants from the Department of Justice aimed at supporting reentry initiatives in the region. These grants are distributed through the Office of Justice Programs to various organizations committed to enhancing reentry services.

The funding recipients include:

– The City of Chattanooga: $1,999,187

Hamilton County: $844,294

– Helen Ross McNabb: $825,000

– The City of Knoxville: $770,000

– The Young Women’s Christian Association: $550,000

– County of Bedford: $150,000

– The City of Johnson City: $13,657
