Identification of Man Found in Cumberland River

The body found in Whites Creek was identified as 36-year-old Christopher Kelley.

The man discovered in the Whites Creek section of the Cumberland River near County Hospital Road on Sunday has been identified as Christopher Kelley, age 36. Identification was made using his fingerprints. Kelley is suspected to have been involved in a single-car rollover accident on Briley Parkway near County Hospital Road on September 29. When police arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle empty but discovered a felony quantity of drugs inside. Upon retrieval from the water, there were no apparent signs of trauma on Kelley’s body. The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death. Kelley was reported missing by his family in Mt. Juliet on October 1.

Fatal Car Crash on Nolensville Pike

A fatal car crash occurred on Nolensville Pike at Bass Avenue, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old man from Guatemala.
