A man died after being pinned by a food truck in Nashville.

A tragic incident unfolded in Nashville as a man sustained fatal injuries following a food truck accident. On Friday, Favian Ubense Cruz-Vargas, aged 48, was critically injured when a food truck reversed into him in the parking lot at 2819 Lebanon Pike. Cruz-Vargas was positioned between the truck and a building, helping guide the driver, Omar Martinez-Gonzalez, 42, to prevent the vehicle from hitting the structure. Unfortunately, due to apparent inexperience in operating the vehicle, Martinez-Gonzalez caused Cruz-Vargas to become trapped between the truck and the building. Cruz-Vargas was promptly transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Following the incident, Martinez-Gonzalez was arrested and charged under the Ricky Otts Act for operating without a valid driver’s license or proof of insurance.
