Nashville Awards 14 Tactical Urbanism Projects
The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) has awarded 14 community-led projects as part of its first Tactical Urbanism Program cycle. Initially planned for four projects, the program was expanded due to strong interest, with each project receiving up to $20,000 to enhance neighborhood safety and efficiency. The projects focus on temporary installations to test changes in roadway designs, improving areas with low-cost materials. The initiative aims to empower community input and inspire future roadway designs. Community members interested in leading a project can refer to the Tactical Urbanism Guide and apply for a permit.
