Boswell’s Harley-Davidson is set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its Annual Toy Parade in collaboration with the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) this Saturday. The event serves as the primary fundraiser for the MNPD’s Christmas Basket Program, which provides support to families in Nashville during the holiday season. Over the past three decades, the Toy Parade and participating Harley riders have collectively raised significant funds to ensure a meaningful Christmas for those in need.
This year’s Toy Parade will begin staging outside of First Tennessee Park, located at Rep John Lewis Way North. Registration is scheduled to start at 9 a.m., with the ride commencing at 12 noon. The parade will traverse downtown Nashville, concluding at Scoreboard Bar and Grill on Music Valley Drive for an after-party. Bill Davidson, a descendant of the founding family of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, will serve as the grand marshal of the parade.
Bubba Boswell, President of Boswell’s Harley-Davidson, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting the support from Middle Tennessee’s motorcycle community. “This event shows the community our passion for an outstanding cause,” he stated, adding that the partnership with the Metro Police Department has made a positive impact on numerous families over the years.
Participants in the parade are encouraged to bring a new toy or make a cash donation. The collected toys and funds will support the Christmas Basket Program, now in its 63rd year, through which police officers deliver food and toys to underprivileged families on Christmas Eve morning. This year, more than 200 families, including hundreds of individuals, will receive surprise gifts of food and toys.
The event welcomes all riders and brands of motorcycles to join in the parade and contribute to this charitable cause.
