Public’s Help Needed to Identify WeGo Bus Shelter Vandals

Police request public assistance in identifying suspects responsible for vandalizing WeGo bus shelters.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for vandalizing up to 50 WeGo bus shelters over the past three weeks, including 20 incidents reported this weekend. The glass enclosures around the stops were either partially or entirely shattered.

Most of the vandalism has occurred along Gallatin Pike in East Nashville and 12th Avenue South in Edgehill. Additional affected shelters have been reported in downtown Nashville, Madison, Germantown, West End Avenue, and South Nashville.

Repairs have been made or are planned for the damaged bus shelters. To prevent further incidents, additional police patrols will be present along bus route corridors.

Anyone with information regarding the vandalism is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
