Public Notice on Air Pollution Source Permit Applications

Public notification of permit applications for constructing or modifying air pollution sources in Nashville.

An application for a construction permit and/or a synthetic minor operating permit has been filed with the Metro Public Health Department, Air Pollution Control Division for the following source:

**Air Pollution Control Public Notice for September 13, 2024**

This application is subject to the provisions of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, Chapter 10.56, “Air Pollution Control,” Section 10.56.020, “Construction Permits,” Paragraph N and/or Section 10.56.040, “Operating Permits” and Section 3-2 of Regulation 3, “New Source Review” which require public notification and a 30-day public comment period. Copies of the application package are on file for public review in the Metro Public Health Department, Vital Records Division, 2500 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. Comments must be received in the Air Pollution Control Division Office no later than October 13, 2024. Emailed comments may be directed to [email protected].

Nashville Appoints Director for Sustainable Cities Initiative

Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell has appointed Robert L. James Jr. as the Director of Nashville’s Innovation Team for the Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities initiative, which focuses on climate action and racial wealth equity. James brings significant experience from roles in TennCare and Meharry’s Office of General Counsel. The three-year initiative will engage disadvantaged communities to create and implement programs aimed at sustainability and equity, including a residential clean energy project to train and empower Nashville’s Black communities.
