A male pedestrian, whose identity remains unknown, was critically injured and later died following a collision with an Infiniti Q50. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of West End Avenue and 17th Avenue.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the Infiniti had a green light at the intersection. The driver reported that the pedestrian was in her lane and she was unable to avoid hitting him. The pedestrian was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. Efforts to identify him through fingerprints are currently being conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The driver of the Infiniti did not display any signs of impairment at the scene.

Fatal Robbery Shooting in Nashville Investigated
Homicide detectives in Nashville are investigating the early Sunday morning fatal shooting of Francisco Ico Anx, 37, during a robbery on Patricia Drive. Anx was shot in the stomach after resisting four suspects, who also robbed his friend. Anx died later at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
