Oakland Driver Services Center Reopening After Remodel

Oakland Driver Services Center will reopen on Oct. 1 following a planned remodel.

The Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Oakland Driver Services Center, located at 160 Beau Tisdale Drive, will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 1, after closing for a planned remodel on Aug. 29. The renovated full-service center now features new furniture, fresh paint, updated workstations, new credentialing equipment, and new self-service kiosks.

The Oakland Driver Services Center will resume its regular business hours immediately, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central. The center provides a range of services, including Driver License, REAL ID, and Identification (ID Only) License issuance; vision, knowledge, and skills testing; motor vehicle records; handgun permit applications; voter registration; and organ/tissue donor registration.

Temporary Closure of Middle Tennessee Driver Services

Multiple Driver Services locations in Middle Tennessee will temporarily close for one day each between September 23 and September 27 for an equipment upgrade involving new credentialing equipment and self-service kiosks.
