The Country Music Association (CMA) has announced the nominees for the 58th Annual CMA Awards. These nominations were determined by eligible voting CMA members who are professionals within the country music industry. Topping the list is Morgan Wallen with seven nominations. Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton follow closely with five nominations each, while Post Malone and Lainey Wilson have four nominations each. Louis Bell, Luke Combs, Charlie Handsome, Hoskins, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, and Kacey Musgraves each have three nominations.
The nominees for CMA Entertainer of the Year are Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson. The awards will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 20, from 8:00–11:00 PM EST on ABC and will be available the next day on Hulu.
First-time CMA Awards nominees include Andrew Baylis, Louis Bell, Brock Berryhill, Tom Bukovac, Will Bundy, Sean Cook, Benjy Davis, Shawn Everett, Riley Green, Kevin “Thrasher” Gruft, Kat Higgins, Hoskins, Jeff Johnson, Noah Kahan, Ella Langley, Ryan Larkins, Raul Lopez, Josh Phillips, Post Malone, Nevin Sastry, Shaboozey, Ernest Keith Smith, Nate Smith, Konrad Snyder, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Red Clay Strays, Zach Top, Chris Villa, Chandler Paul Walters, and Bailey Zimmerman.
Morgan Wallen leads with seven nominations in categories such as Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year for “I Had Some Help,” and Song of the Year. Wallen’s collaboration with Post Malone on “I Had Some Help” has earned him multiple nods, including Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
Cody Johnson has five nominations, including Single of the Year for “Dirt Cheap” and Album of the Year for “Leather.” Chris Stapleton, a previous Male Vocalist of the Year winner, has five nominations, including Entertainer of the Year and Single of the Year for “White Horse.”
Post Malone, a first-time nominee, has four nominations, all for his collaboration with Morgan Wallen on “I Had Some Help.” Lainey Wilson, the reigning Entertainer of the Year, has four nominations, including Single of the Year for “Watermelon Moonshine.”
Louis Bell, Luke Combs, Charlie Handsome, Hoskins, and Jelly Roll each secured three nominations in various categories. Megan Moroney received three nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Kacey Musgraves received three nominations, including Album of the Year for “Deeper Well.”
Winners will be determined by a final round of voting by eligible CMA members. The third and final ballot will be emailed to CMA Professional Members on October 1st, with voting ending on October 29th. The winners of the CMA Broadcast Awards will also be revealed in October, judged by a panel of distinguished broadcast professionals.
