Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Clarksville Pike

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Clarksville Pike Wednesday morning.

A motorcyclist was tragically killed in a crash that occurred on Clarksville Pike near Dry Fork Road at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday morning. The individual has been tentatively identified as a 25-year-old man from White House.

According to the preliminary investigation, the motorcyclist was riding a Honda CBR northbound at a high rate of speed. Witnesses reported that the rider attempted to perform a wheelie, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle. The vehicle then struck a metal guardrail, continued traveling north, and ultimately crashed into a rock wall. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to confirm the identity of the deceased and will notify his family. It was noted that the motorcyclist was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, and no signs of impairment were observed at the scene.
