Montgomery Bell State Park Hosts Built Wild Days Event

Built Wild Days Event at Montgomery Bell State Park includes games, wildlife programs, and volunteer projects.

Montgomery Bell State Park will host a Built Wild Days Event on Saturday, September 14. The event will feature Bronco Wild Fund games, a birds of prey program, a volunteer service project to support the park, and an opportunity to experience the Ford Bronco SUV.

The free event is presented by Mid-South Ford Dealers through a grant from the Bronco Wild Fund. This initiative is one of 15 events at state parks across the country, aimed at increasing access, stewardship, and preservation of public lands.

The volunteer service project will include assembling picnic tables, installing charcoal grills in a picnic area, and planting wildflower seeds for the park’s greenhouse.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about birds of prey and see them up close, take a guided hike to Lake Woodhaven Spillway Overlook, join a Bronco owner meet-up and group photo, enjoy complimentary hot dogs, and take advantage of the park’s facilities, including kayaking, golf, fishing, and visiting Lodge Montgomery Bell.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information and registration, go to this link. Participants are asked to meet at the shelter at the sports field at 9 a.m.
