The Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) has announced the promotion of Wesley Slager to Battalion Chief. Slager, who began his career with MFRD in 2007, is set to assume his new role on September 12, 2024.
Fire Chief Mark McCluskey expressed his enthusiasm about Slager’s promotion, stating, “We are thrilled to have Slager step into this leadership position, and we look forward to the contributions he will make in this vital role.”

In his new position, Slager will oversee the operations of Stations 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, and 11.
