Leading assurance, tax, and advisory firm Mauldin & Jenkins has announced the appointment of six professionals to Partner, effective September 1, 2024. This notable achievement underscores the firm’s dedication to recognizing excellence, leadership, and commitment to client service.

The newly appointed Partners are:

**Mark Abernathy, CPA**

Mark is based in the firm’s Athens, Alabama office. With 15 years of public accounting experience, he specializes in assurance services across various industries, including state and local governments, not-for-profits, healthcare, government and construction contracting, and employee benefit plans. Mark is a member of the AICPA and the ASCPA and serves on the Board of CASA of North Alabama.

**Stephanie Blair, CPA, CFE**

Stephanie, also in the Athens, Alabama office, focuses on tax planning, compliance, and traditional assurance services for individuals and closely held businesses. She is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, ASCPA, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Kiwanis Club.

**Lew Henry, CPA**

Lew works in the Atlanta, Georgia office. He specializes in attestation and consulting services within the Not-for-Profit and Education practices, along with providing attestation services in construction, healthcare, and manufacturing industries. Lew is a member of the AICPA and the GSCPA.

**Sherrie Hodges, CPA**

Sherrie, located in the Huntsville, Alabama office, has over 30 years of experience in public accounting. She is a key member of the Private Client Services practice, specializing in income tax planning, preparation, and consulting. Sherrie is a member of the ASCPA, the AICPA, and the Firm’s Tax Committee.

**Aubrie Trotter, CPA**

Aubrie is based in the Albany, Georgia office. She specializes in serving financial institution clients across the Southeast, conducting audits for both public and private financial institutions. Aubrie is a member of the AICPA, GSCPA, the Georgia Bankers Association, and the Community Bankers Association of Georgia.

**Brent Ullrich, CPA**

Brent works in the Atlanta, Georgia office and brings over 15 years of experience in taxation. He serves as the Firm’s Tax Strategy and Research Leader, providing technical guidance and identifying planning opportunities in complex tax areas. Brent is a member of the AICPA and the GSCPA.
